How to Bulk Update Schedule Items in Buildern

Managing tasks individually can be time-consuming, especially in large projects. Buildern’s Bulk Update lets you edit multiple schedule items at once. This guide explains how to bulk update schedule items and which fields you can modify simultaneously.


How to Bulk Update Schedule Items

Step 1: Select Schedule Items

  1. Open your project in Buildern.

  2. Navigate to the Schedule List view module.

  3. Use the checkboxes on the left side of each task to select the items you want to update

ℹ️ Note: Bulk Update is available only in the List View of the Schedule module.

Step 2: Click “Bulk Update”

  1. After selecting the tasks, click the Edit button that appears at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Choose the field you want to update (for example, Labels).

  3. Make the necessary changes.

  4. Review your updates.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

You can update the following fields in bulk:

  • Assignees – Reassign selected tasks.

  • Labels – Add or remove labels.

  • Phase – Move tasks under a different phase.

  • Completion % – Update progress for all selected items.

  • Start Date – Set or shift start dates.

  • Duration – Adjust task length.

  • Reminders – Enable or modify reminders.

  • Color – Change task color coding.

  • Confirmation – Confirm tasks on behalf of assignees.
    All changes apply to every selected schedule item at once.

In addition to Bulk Update, the bottom action bar provides other quick actions for the selected items:

  • Notify – Send a notification to the assignees of the selected tasks to inform them about updates or required actions.

  • Copy to – Create copies of the selected schedule items. This is useful when repeating similar tasks or phases within the project.

  • Delete – Remove all selected items from the schedule at once.

These actions help you efficiently manage multiple tasks without editing each item individually.
