You can also create a new schedule item by clicking the + Add Item button located in the top-right corner.
Choose the type of schedule item you want to create. Buildern allows you to select between Task and Milestone.

βΉοΈ Note: A Task represents a piece of work that takes time to complete. Tasks have a start date, end date, duration, and assigned users, allowing you to track progress and manage project timelines.
A Milestone represents an important checkpoint or event in the project. Unlike tasks, milestones do not have duration and are used to mark key moments such as project phases, approvals, or major deliverables.

Edit a Schedule Item from the List View (Options Menu)
1.Go to the Schedule tab in your project.
2. Locate the task or milestone you want to edit.
3. Click the three dots (β―) on the right-hand side of the item.
4. Select Edit.
Here you can now modify the task details, including:
Task name β The title of the task as it appears in the Schedule, Gantt Chart, and reports.
Description β Additional details, instructions, or notes for the team.
Assignee β The person responsible for completing the task.
Start and end dates β Define when the task begins and ends.
Duration β The length of the task. Updating it adjusts the end date automatically.
Completion percentage β Shows how much of the task is finished.
Color β Adds a visual tag for better organization.
Labels β Custom tags used for filtering and categorizing tasks.
Attachments and other task settings β Upload files, manage dependencies, confirmations, and additional options.
Once youβve made your changes, click Save to apply them.

Additional Editing Options
From the three-dot menu (β―), you can also:
View the task as the assignee sees it
Manually confirm the task on behalf of assignee
Create a predecessor or child task
Click Notify Assignees to send a notification
Duplicate the task
Mark as complete
Add internal notes
Change the task color
Add watchers
Delete the task

βΉοΈ Note: A child task is a subtask under a parent task. It organizes hierarchy and numbering (for example, 1 β 1.1) but does not control scheduling.

These options help you manage and update schedule items efficiently as your project progresses.
π‘Tip: Use color coding to visually organize tasks by phase or trade.
βYou can set task dependencies once at least one other task has already been created in the Schedule.

Edit a Schedule Item Directly from the Main Page
Buildern also allows inline editing, which means you can update certain fields directly from the schedule view without opening the full edit window.
Navigate to the Schedule tab.
Click directly on the field you want to edit (such as the task name, start date, end date, or completion percentage).
Make the necessary changes.
Press Enter or click outside the field to save automatically.

This method is ideal for quick updates such as adjusting dates or updating progress.
Editing Schedule Items Using Bulk Actions
When you select one or multiple tasks from the Schedule list, a bulk action toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen.
This toolbar allows you to quickly manage selected schedule items without opening them individually.
To use bulk actions:
Go to the Schedule tab.
Select one or more tasks using the checkbox next to each item.
A toolbar will appear at the bottom showing the number of selected items.

From this toolbar, you can:
Edit the selected task
Notify Assignees
Duplicate the task
Delete the task

This is especially useful when you need to update, notify, or remove multiple schedule items at once.

To close the toolbar without taking action, click the X on the left side.
π‘Tip: If you update deadlines, scope, or assignments, consider using Notify Assignees to ensure everyone is aware of the changes.
