Navigate to Daily Logs / Site Diaries
Start by opening the project where you want to capture what’s happening on-site.
From there, tap the left sidebar menu and select Daily Logs / Site Diaries.
This is your central space for tracking day-to-day activity. You’ll see a list of all previously created logs, giving you a quick overview of past updates, events, and progress on the project.
Create a New Daily Log / Site Diary
When something happens on-site - whether it’s routine progress or an unexpected issue - you can instantly record it.
Tap the ➕Create button in the top -right corner to create a new log.
Creating a Daily Log / Site Diary in the mobile app works almost the same way as on the web version, with the same fields and options available.
After tapping Create, you’ll open a clean entry form where you can quickly capture everything that happened on-site.
Start by filling in the basic information:
Name - Add a clear title for the log
Date & Time - Automatically filled in, but editable
Labels (optional) - Use labels to organize and filter logs more easily later
If no labels exist yet, tap Add New to create one and reuse it across future logs.
Next, use the Description field to record daily activities, progress, delays, issues, or any important updates. The editor supports formatting, helping keep notes structured and easy to read.
You can also enable the Weather option to automatically include weather details such as temperature, humidity, wind, and precipitation.
To provide additional context, upload Attachments. If needed, enable Share with Client to send the daily log to the client via email and make it visible in the client portal.
Once the log is created, the Comments section becomes available, allowing team members to ask questions, add updates, and collaborate directly within the log.
Once everything is complete, click Create.Your daily log will be saved and added to the project history.
Once you save your Daily Log / Site Diary, you’ll be redirected to the list of all logs within the project. Here, you can quickly view a preview of each entry and use filters to find specific logs more easily.
Just like in the web version, the mobile app includes the same filtering options, allowing you to quickly find relevant updates, issues, or progress records while on-site.
With Buildern’s synchronized platform, you can access and manage your Daily Logs / Site Diaries anytime from your mobile device, making project tracking and communication easier wherever you are.
