Timesheet Calendar View

The Calendar View in Buildern’s Timesheets module allows you to visually track team members’ worked hours by date. In this article, you’ll learn how to use the Calendar View in the Timesheets module to track worked hours by date.

Understanding the Calendar Layout

The Calendar View in the Timesheets module provides a visual overview of recorded time entries in a structured layout.

It opens in a monthly grid (Monday - Sunday format), with the current month and year displayed at the top. Dates may include a counter badge showing how many time entries were recorded.

You can switch between Month, Week, Day, Today and Year views to review timesheets at either a high-level summary or in greater detail.

Accessing the Calendar View

To open the Timesheets Calendar:

  1. Log in to your Buildern account.

  2. Navigate to the Timesheets module.

  3. Click the Calendar tab.

You will now see a monthly calendar displaying time entries organized by date.

Adding a New Time Entry from Calendar View

To manually create a new timesheet:

  1. Click the + Add Time Clock button (top right corner).

  2. Fill in the required fields (same as in the Time Cards or manual entry form).

  3. Click Save.

ℹ️ Note : The fields available here are identical to those in the mobile and web manual timesheet creation forms.

Using the Calendar View helps managers quickly review time activity, track approvals, and maintain accurate payroll and job costing records.

Navigating Between Dates

To browse different months, weeks, days - use the arrow buttons positioned next to the month name at the top of the calendar.

Using Filters in Calendar View

At the top of the Calendar, you’ll find multiple filtering options that help refine what is displayed:

  • User – View timesheets for a specific team member.

  • Date Range – Narrow results to a selected period.

  • Label – Filter by assigned labels.

  • Cost Code – View entries related to a specific cost code.

  • Status – Filter by timesheet status (Clocked In, Submitted, Approved, Rejected).

  • Invoiced – See whether entries have been invoiced.

These filters allow managers to focus on specific employees, payroll periods, or job costing categories.
