Add Manual Timesheets via Web
You can also add timesheets from Buildern’s web platform.
Step 1 - Log in and navigate to the Timesheets tab.
Step 2 - Click + Add Time Clock (top right corner).
Step 3 - Fill in the required details - the same fields available in the mobile app.
Required Fields
These fields must be completed before saving the timesheet:
1. User - Select the team member for whom the time entry is being recorded.
2. Date - Choose the date the work was performed.
3. Start Time - Specify when the work period began.
4. End Time or Duration
You can either:
Enter the End Time, and the system calculates the duration automatically,
Or manually adjust the Duration, which updates the end time accordingly.
5. Work Item - Select the related task or work item associated with this time entry.
6. Cost Code - Assign a cost code to ensure proper job costing and budget tracking.
7. Hourly Cost - Displays the user’s hourly rate (if configured). This impacts total cost calculations.
8. Labels - Apply labels to categorize the entry (e.g., crew, department, task type).
9. Add Break Time - Click Add break time to log unpaid or deducted break periods. The system adjusts the total duration automatically.
10. Split Timesheet - Use Split timesheet if the worked hours need to be divided across multiple cost codes or work items.
11. Description - Add notes or details explaining the work performed.
12. Attachments - Upload supporting documents, photos, or files related to the time entry.
Step 4 - Once done, click Save to finalize the entry.
ℹ️ Note: If breaks are entered with start time and duration, Buildern automatically calculates the total payable hours and adjusts the amount (if hourly cost is set).

How Assigned Users See Timesheets
For assigned team members, the Timesheets view remains the same. When a user logs into Buildern and navigates to the Timesheets module, they will see the same layout and interface.
However, the actions and options available to them depend entirely on their assigned permissions. This ensures that each user only sees and interacts with the features relevant to their role.
We’ll explore more in the next articles.
