Buildern Mobile App for Field Workers: Getting Started

The Buildern Mobile App allows field workers to access project information, complete daily tasks, and stay connected from anywhere. In this article, you'll learn how to get started with the Buildern Mobile App and and navigate the app.


📋 Requirements

Before you begin, make sure:

  • Your manager has created your Buildern account.

  • You have received an invitation to join Buildern.

  • You have installed the Buildern Mobile App.

  • You have permission to access the projects and features assigned to you.


Getting Started

Step 1: Accept Your Invitation

Before you can access the Buildern Mobile App, your manager must invite you to Buildern.

If you haven't received an invitation, contact your manager.

Once you receive the invitation:

  1. Open the invitation email.

  2. Accept the invitation.

  3. Create your password.

Step 2: Download the Buildern Mobile App

Download the Buildern Mobile App from:

  • App Store (iOS)

  • Google Play Store (Android)

Search for Buildern and install the application.

Step 3: Sign In

  1. Open the Buildern Mobile App.

  2. Enter your work email address.

  3. Enter your password.

  4. Tap Log In.

Once signed in, you'll only see the projects and features you have permission to access.

ℹ️ Note - If you cannot see a project, contact your manager to verify that you've been assigned to it.


View Your Projects

After signing in, tap Projects from the bottom navigation bar to see all projects you've been assigned to. This is your starting point for accessing project information and completing your day-to-day work.

From the Projects screen, you can:

  • Search for a specific project

  • Filter projects by status or type

  • Switch between List and Board views

  • Customize the columns displayed

  • Pin frequently accessed projects

  • Open additional project actions from the three-dot menu

Simply tap a project to open it.


Project Dashboard

When you open a project, you'll land on its Dashboard, which provides a quick overview of the project's current status.

The dashboard is designed to give you easy access to the information you need most without having to navigate through multiple screens.

Depending on your permissions and your company's configuration, the dashboard may include:

  • Project details

  • Project address

  • Completion progress

  • Recent files

  • Timesheets

  • To-Dos

  • RFIs

  • Other project widgets

If your role allows it, you can also personalize the dashboard by adding additional widgets.


Access Project Information

To explore the rest of the project, tap the Menu icon in the upper-left corner.

This opens the project's navigation panel, where you can access the features available to your role.

Depending on your permissions, you may see:

  • Overview

  • Proposals

  • Schedule

  • Bid Requests

  • Selections & Allowances

  • Purchase Orders & Subcontracts

  • Bills

  • Daily Logs

  • Timesheets

  • To-Dos

  • RFIs

  • Files

Most field workers can also create and update project information directly from the mobile app, including:

  • Timesheets

  • Daily Logs

  • To-Dos

  • RFIs
